Menopause and Sexual Health: What to Expect

Published on 19 June 2025

Menopause is a natural phase in a woman’s life, marked by hormonal changes that can affect sexual health. Common issues include reduced libido, vaginal dryness, and discomfort during intercourse. These changes may lead to frustration in relationships and emotional distress. While menopause doesn’t directly cause ed dysfunction, it can impact a partner's intimacy, sometimes leading men to experience ed erection issues or premature ejaculatiom due to stress or performance anxiety.

In couples where men face early ejaculation problem, precoce ejaculation, or premature ehaculation, it’s vital to understand that sexual health is a shared journey. Proper guidance from a sexologist doctor or dr sexologist can help both partners navigate these changes with compassion and care.

For men experiencing persistent issues, ed meds or ed medication may be recommended. However, it’s essential not to self-medicate. A holistic approach—including counseling, lifestyle changes, and medical support—offers the best outcomes. Open communication and professional advice are key to maintaining intimacy and well-being during and after menopause.
